We Stay Home -- So You Don't Have To!!

Bringing a new pet home, selecting appropriate diet and exercise plans, and navigating end-of-life issues can be stressful!

My goal is to ensure that every moment with your pet is full of love and laughter.

Some typical consulting requests include:

* Assistance selecting the right pet for a household (going through this process BEFORE heading to the shelter and falling for a pretty face is imperative!).  I receive so many emails each week of people who have to find a new home for their pet.  In most cases, this is traumatic for the humans and the pet.  Most (if not all) of these situations could have been avoided by working with an advisort to evaluate the family's lifestyle and ability to adapt to a specific type and breed of pet.  There's a pet for just about everyone -- it just may not be the pet you think!

* Introducing your existing pet to a new family member.  Whether the new family member is human or not, there are things you should and shouldn't do to ensure a transition that's peaceful for everyone.  You can sign up for any of the "Parents with Pets" Seminars if you're expecting a new baby, or you can set up a private consultation in your home.

* Evaluating alternative pet-care options.  No one should replace your regular vet.  However, as soon as you get your pet you're bound to be innundated with information about everything from pet acupuncture to homemade food options.  What's right for you and your pet?  We'll work together to create a blueprint for alternative health care options that augment your pet's traditional care.  We'll spend time discussion what the various terms mean, and how you can apply this knowledge to effective pet-care.

* Puppy-; Kitten-; or Pet-Proofing your home.  Set your new pet up to succeed.  We'll help you create a safe and comforting home for your newest family member.  We'll make sure your wires are pet-proof and work with you to set up reasonable "safe" spaces for your pets.

* Evaluate, and make recommendations for correcting "bad manners."  AS your family grows and changes, your pets make find ways to let you know that they're not happy. If you're pets are acting out -- give us a call.  We'll work with your vet and your family to establish a program to get your pets back on track.

* Navigating the end-of-life process.  This is by far the hardest part of any pet-lovers' job. However, it may be the most rewarding.  Being able to help pet-parents who are dealing with illness and age and providing everything from grief circles to transportation to vet visits is one of the services I provide for pets and their people.

* Adapting to the changing needs of your elderly pet.  Your pet ages much faster than you.  But they experience aging issues -- like declining vision, mobility issues, stiffness, and loss of hearing.  They are also prone to other age-related issues.  If you'd like someone to help you adapt your home to make it easier for your aging pet, please let us know.

If you're wondering what to do about a pet-related issue -- don't hestitate to call.  I'm pet first aid certified, and a certified professional pet-sitter.  I've provided consulting to more than 50 families in the region and I'm pleased to teach the highly popular "Parents with Pets" Class.  I'm also the founder of the Pet-Care Business Success University, dedicated to education and resources for professional pet-sitters worldwide.

Classes and Seminars are being added regularly - so be sure to check often.

Fees are based on individual client needs and can be arranged on an hourly or project basis.  Average fees are $60.00 for an hour-long in-home consult to $450.00 for an on-going project.
